FSL Version 2.0 and Rediscovering Discover

I wanted to give you a preview of what is coming in just over a week at FSL. We will be releasing what we call version 2.0 of the website. Version 2.0 will include football, the new ranking cap for both football and baseball, a leaderboard for our top players, and a much improved user interface. I almost forgot, we will also start accepting Discover with version 2.0. Those guys are tough negotiators, but they just could not resist joining the revolution in Fantasy Sports. Sorry, but we have no plans on taking Diner's Club.

The only thing missing that we really wanted as part of version 2.0 will be NASCAR. Development continues on this, but NASCAR will be launched shortly after football season begins.

Thanks for being patient with us as we worked on this much improved version of our website. We talked in the past about the great scoring system that we will be using for football, and we will start to reveal the details next week. Also, if you can't wait for our Aug. 18th launch of football, drop an email to support@fantasysportslive.com, and we can let you in on Beta testing next week on our development site. We are incredibly excited about this new release, and we know you guys will love it, so thanks for all the great feedback that helped us define our improvements.

Undiscovered Canada

With Canada's vast expanses of land and small population most of it remains undiscovered. I will use that as a way to transition to some bad news. We will not be accepting Discover Cards on FSL. We tried, but could not work things out with those guys. We will be removing the Discover logo from our home page shortly. Sorry about that.

Also, we had a software bug on July 4th that prevented credit transactions on our website. This is resolved know. We love money here, so you can believe that when we track down the programmer responsible he will be appropriately publicly humiliated for his big mistake. Seriously though, we are taking huge strides to make sure this does not happen again. We are offering a $1 credit to your FSL account for each rejected transaction on your account on the 4th of July. Drop a comment here or email support@fantasysportslive.com to claim your credit.

On a positive note, we are smashing records almost daily on this site, with over $1250 in guaranteed prizes paid out on July 3rd alone. Thanks everyone for spreading the word, and participating daily in our contests. We will be rolling out tons of additional functionality and features in the very near future that will make the site even better, so keep playing.

Discover Canada

I hope it was worth the wait guys. We are all set up to accept Canadian customers as of today. Also, for those third-tier credit card holders out there we now accept Discover as well. Sorry, for the delays in these two offerings that we had promised when we launched.

Next year we plan to run some specials on July 3rd around what will be known as "Discover Canada Day" at FSL.
