You need to select a pitcher that will at a minimum get the win, or it will be next to impossible to win your fantasy contest. With pitchers unique ability to put up huge positive and huge negative fantasy scores, their performance is key for your fantasy team. Pick the best starting pitcher possible every time, and don't worry about salary. Salary cap money towards a winning pitcher is always money well spent.
