Fantasy Basketball End of Quarter Scoring Update

A quick update on End of Quarter scoring for Fantasy Basketball. Our vendor has actually pulled the plug on this service this year and is moving to progressive scoring only for the NBA. We are currently picking up the first half box and official final box scores only. We are working on implementing the progressive scoring, but were not able to get it finished this week. Until we roll out the progressive scoring upgrade, we will be limited to 2 updates per game. We will supplement that with some in game manual in-game scoring at times. Sorry for the inconvenience while we make this improvement to our in-game fantasy basketball scoring.

NBA In Game Update Issue

I have some good news and some bad news for our fantasy NBA players. Do you want the good or the bad first? Let's just get the bad out of the way. We are having some issues with the end of quarter scoring updates this year. We are currently only getting the end of half and final box scores (2 updates per game). The first half update comes after the second half starts, and the final box is about 45 minutes to 1 hour after the game ends. We have the ability to manually score, and will be providing in-game updates prior to the end of the 1st half until this issue is resolved. After the end of half stats are in however, there will not be an update until the game is over for scoring accuracy reasons.

Now for the good news. A bunch of people have asked for progressive scoring of our Daily Fantasy Basketball leagues like we offer with Daily Fantasy Baseball and Weekly Fantasy Football. This year, for the first time a progressive feed is available through TSN, and we are looking to get that up and running in the next few days. We have no experience with the new NBA feed, and have also been cautioned that it may not be as accurate as our progressive NFL and MLB feeds are. Keep in mind that in-game scoring is informational only. We toss the progressive scoring out and replace it with the final official box scores which resolves any errors in the in-game scoring. Progressive scoring is a nice step up vs. EOQ scoring, so hopefully all will go well, and we will get that rolled out in the next few days.

Week 6 SWDP Results - Record Scoring - New Choices

Wow, what a crazy, high scoring weekend. All time fantasy football scoring records appear to have been smashed over the weekend at FantasySportsLive.com, with repete offenders putting up the first 200+ point score in Sunday's With Dr. Pauly history. Pauly scored 130.1 this week. Compete results are shown below.

Starting this week you can chose between the 25 player and 10 player league formats for SWDP. Both will be available at the beginning of the week. Only one 25 player league will run, so if you are interested in that format be sure to enter it before it fills up. 10 players leagues will reform as required. What ever has not filled up will be available for late Sunday morning entries.

Kev wins Series 1 of SWDP - Series 2 Next Week

Kev narrowly edged our host, Dr. Pauly, for the Series 1 Title, a $25 FSL Instant Cash Bonus, and the first seat in the Super TOC with $125 in bonus cash added. We now have half of the super TOC in place with Pauly (automatic entry), and Kev waiting for our Series 2 and 3 winners. Series 2 starts next week and runs weeks 6-10. Saturday MLB Playoff Baseball Leagues Cancelled

All MLB playoff fantasy baseball leagues on Saturday were cancelled due to the postponement of one of the two games on the schedule. Our rules require at least two games to be completed (in a reasonable amount of time) for a fantasy league to be official. This is also a legal requirement of fantasy sports. If you were in a Saturday MLB fantasy baseball league today, your account has been refunded the amount of your entry fee. Well at least we have three MLB playoff games tomorrow, so barring two acts of God we should get some fantasy baseball action in tomorrow.

Kev Slides into the Series 1 Lead. Big Pirate get top week 4 score.

Big Pirate put up the top score of 139.2 in week 4 of the Sundays with Dr. Pauly promotion. Pauly had his first off week scoring a 96.9 and allowing 42 competitors to beat his score and get a 3 week streak started. Kev has moved past Pauly for the Series 1 lead with one week left.
